KRONE unveils black BiG X 1180 – anniversary model with 16-row XCollect
At Agritechnica 2025, KRONE will present a BiG X special model painted in black with an XCollect maize header which has a working width of 12 metres – a statement of innovative strength and power.
Hanover, 8 November 2025 – At the start of Agritechnica 2025, KRONE will be celebrating an extraordinary anniversary: 25 years BiG X – 25 years of power, precision and pioneering spirit in forage harvesting technology.
As a special highlight at the trade fair, KRONE will be presenting the world's first 16-row XCollect header (12 m working width) on the BiG X 1180 – an exclusive special model in matt black paintwork with the striking lettering "Born to perform".
"Born to perform" – Technology with attitude
For 25 years, the name BiG X has stood for uncompromising performance and practical development. This anniversary model, which is also available in 1:32 scale, visibly translates this attitude into design and detail: The special matt black paintwork embodies technical sovereignty and deliberate understatement – a colour which does not have to be loud to show strength. The lettering "Born to perform", showcased with lightning-like accents, symbolises energy and determination. Bernard Krone's personal signature "Made for you" stands for responsibility, passion and authenticity. Together they form a promise which KRONE has been fulfilling for 25 years: Innovation by conviction.
Demonstration of efficiency, throughput and precision
With the new 16-row XCollect, KRONE impressively demonstrates its development strength. For the first time, the company will present a header which has a working width of 12 metres, designed for harvesters in excess of 1,000 hp – in combination with the BiG X, it creates a unit of efficiency, throughput and precision. The header has been undergoing intensive testing for several years. After successful practical tests in the field, stationary endurance tests will now follow in the KRONE Future Lab to prepare for series production. A 14-row XCollect in this design is due to go into series production as early as 2027.
The biggest challenge – a working width of 12 metres with a transport width of only 3 metres – has already been solved. Once again, KRONE demonstrates how consistently development and market requirements are interlinked.
Since 20 May 2000, when the first BiG X rolled off the production line, the machine has become the benchmark in its class. Each generation has produced technical milestones which have shaped the market. Today, the BiG X is used in around 35 countries – a symbol of KRONE's consistent focus on customer proximity, performance and future-proofing.
